Let me start by saying that the products in this biz are all handmade - which is quite impressive! Expect no junk, chemicals, or toxic, strange unusual ingredients in this skin care line - because you will not get that. Only natural oils & healing essential oils make up the ingredients - which is the perfect touch! As a reminder, it's important to check out any skin care product labels/ingredients before use! You always want to make sure you're putting on nothing but healthy & the best in you (as it goes straight into your bloodstream). So if you have sensitive, dry, problematic skin issues, & don't know where to start, maybe Elyxrs can help you out! Anyone can use Elyxrs, as they're suitable for just about all skin types & you don't necessarily have to be vegan (just FYI).
It's safe to say that Elyxrs products work well on my skin type as it can sometimes get reactive! They do the job well and don't make my skin so dry like other products (probably because of the oils). However, the product label does recommend to apply your moisturizer and sun-screen afterwards as you may already normally do for your typical skin care routine (at least I know I do). The fancy cleanse (w/ Spirulina & Sage), exfoliating & "With Love" soap bars smell clean & are beautifully crafted/designed! I was even thinking about using them for decoration in my bathroom! Fancy spa products like Elyxrs make such beautiful gifts to go into gift bags/basket! They are packaged well! & they don't make my skin feel so dried out after a shower, and cleans/washes up just as good or better than the mainstream-brand soaps out there but with the bonus of natural, pure earthly high-quality ingredients/oils! You can use them pretty much anywhere including vacations. The oils in them make it perfect for the cold winter months! Currently, Elyxrs soaps are one of the 1st things I grab when I shower after a workout. I also find that they work well for prepping for shaving!
Another impressive soap bar by Elyxrs was the Tension Release Massage Bar! It has an exfoliating quality to it & is basically an anti-cellulite soap bar. I'd say it's one of my favorites out of the bunch. It has massage nodules to help provide for a deep tissue massage, which in turn improves circulation! I should note that it be used carefully so it does not break or get messy. It is soap after all. Scrubbing gently & slowly in circular motions is the way to go. I don't think it's really necessary to exfoliate every single day, so a few times a week of exfoliation is good enough! As for a good shower body scrub? I have been forgetting to include that in my shower routine lately & I don't know if it is partly because I haven't been making the time. But with my baby pink Elyxrs Foaming Sugar Scrub on hand, I can just hop in the shower and count on it to maintain healthy, smooth skin weekly. It's definitely a skin care must-have for my face & body as it helps gets rid of the dead skin cells & renews! Just like some of the other facial/body scrubs, it contains the common ingredient, sugar but what makes it different is that it doesn't just stop there. It's also combined w/ other skin-loving ingredients - such as Vit. E, jojoba oil, hazelnut oil & rose clay. The texture in Elyxrs Foaming Sugar Scrub is soothing & refreshing which is very much-needed after a hard stressful week if you ask me. I got a generous amount so I can exfoliate my lips as well! (2x's a week)Your skin is the largest organ, so treating it like one and keeping it healthy should be a priority!
Now onto the "Patchouli Soul" Lotion. You can really smell the fragrance/aroma with this one (scent is somewhat stronger than the other products). If it's too much for you, you can try diluting it w/ another lotion. I like that it's moisturizing, & not too thick! Plus it's travel-size, so it's easy to fit in your purse. Before heading out, you can just toss it in your purse so that you can refresh throughout the day. Or add it to your emergency kit essentials. Perfect for dry, cracked hands in the winter! & if you want an alternative to perfume, this Patchouli is 1 natural option. It spreads smoothly and absorbs in seconds.
About the citrusy Deodorant, it is made quite well & works! Non-irritating is usually what I go for, so it's good to know that there was no stinging, rashes or reactions! If your underarms are sensitive, you might want to give it a try. You don't have to press hard when applying like other deodorants. It's not filled with harmful ingredients either. But it does smell like oranges, so if you don't like oranges then this may not be for you. I like to keep in my gym bag to freshen up once in a while. You might have to do a second application mid-day but it's a deodorant not an antiperspirant.
All around, good raw products!
